2. Netflix has apparently been running subscriber-feedback panels for its original content before it’s scheduled for release, according to a Variety report. The publication noted Netflix has
conducted these panels since May 2021.
3. Regional cable operator WideOpenWest (WOW!) is apparently in “exclusive” discussions to sell its business to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, though it’s possible the deal could still fall through, Bloomberg reported.
4. The partnership economy has grown rapidly, with spending on influencer marketing in the U.S. expected to rise to more than $4 billion this year, and partnerships contributing an average of 28% of overall company revenue for high-maturity companies, according to Forrester. 5. Mattress Firm has embraced a new podcast to provide mattress-adjacent content, such as tips on how to get a good night’s sleep. The company collaborated with Vox Creative, the branded content studio started by digital publisher Vox
Media, to launch the “Are You Sleeping?” podcast in April.
6. According to a report from Deadline, Netflix is currently working on a livestreaming option for stand-up specials and other live content. As pointed out by Deadline, support for livestreams could open up the possibility for Netflix to air live reunions, like the one recently held by the real estate reality show Selling Sunset, as well as enable live voting for competition shows.
7. Yesterday, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal posted a long thread explaining the methodology his team uses to detect and deal with spam accounts. Therefore, virtual worlds, including the Metaverse, have adopted many methods of handling such a structure, especially when dealing with transferring funds in and out of the system.

14. Though the metaverse will provide experiences enhanced by environmental connectivity, the major platforms functioning within it will continue to generate their own individual engagement channels. In the way that Facebook is already offering interactive shopping on
Instagram — complete with in-app digital storefronts, product tags and checkout options — Amazon could design a virtual mall environment where consumers could walk, browse, choose and order products to be delivered to their doorstep. Five Guys could create a virtual restaurant where customers can check out the menu, speak to a customer service avatar and order food through DoorDash or UberEats. The possibilities are endless.
15. Metaverse KPIs? KPIs include everything from financial measurements like net profit, revenue and sales to customer-focused metrics like customer retention and satisfaction. Suffice it to say, marketing in the metaverse is not going to lend itself to many of these KPIs at this point in the ongoing evolution of these infant platforms. Instead, companies and their executives should be focused on one measurement above all others: engagement.
The more users companies are able to engage and entertain through their marketing experiences, the more successful the venture should be deemed. In several years, when millions of people will be congregating in Sandbox, Decentraland and Meta's forthcoming metaverse Juggernaut, the companies that have been diligently cultivating engagement for the longest will be in an excellent position to start introducing a trove of other KPIs.
